Who Is Mountain Peak Law Group, PC?

Mountain Peak Law Group, PC is a creditors rights law firm headquartered in Norman, Oklahoma. We are experienced and knowledgeable in legal collections services. We treat each account with care while coordinating and effecting impactful legal solutions to meet the needs of our clients. We serve local businesses and nationwide creditors. Our firm practices law in the states of Colorado, Nevada, Oklahoma, Utah, and Wyoming.

Our firm focuses on suit evaluation and strategy, litigation, judgment enforcement including foreign judgment domestication and renewals, legally binding settlements, wage attachments, liens and executions. We strive to remain open and accessible for consumers to contact us throughout the legal process as we wish to create win-win solutions for account resolution as often as possible. Our team is attentive to detail and rigorous compliance and data management policies.

STACY STEIN

Managing Partner

Stacy graduated with honors from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo where she majored in political science. The Steins moved to Colorado in the late 90’s, and Stacy graduated with honors from the Denver Paralegal Institute in 2002. Stacy worked in legal collections for several years as a paralegal and legal manager.


Stacy enrolled at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law in 2006, and continued to work as a paralegal and legal manager in legal collections while in law school. Stacy received her J.D. from the University of Denver Law School in May 2009 and was admitted to the Colorado Bar in November 2009. Before opening Stein Law, P.C., Stacy worked for a large landlord/tenant firm adding experience in evictions, landlord tenant law, litigation, and homeowners association law to her collections experience. Stacy then spent an additional year with a multi-state foreclosure firm, managing legal collections accounts in nine states. In 2014, Stacy passed the bar exams in Nevada. Stacy became licensed in Wyoming in 2016, Utah in 2017, and Oklahoma in 2024.  The firm moved to Oklahoma at the beginning of 2024.

DEAN MACKERT

Associate Attorney, CO

Dean was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. In 2008, he graduated Cum Laude from Baylor University, where he was Pre-Law student and majored in Religious Studies. A few years later, Dean received his J.D. from The University of Oklahoma School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2012. In 2014, he passed the Oklahoma bar exam and began practicing Oil & Gas Law in both Texas and Oklahoma. From 2014 through 2020, he issued ownership reports and published numerous complex Oil & Gas Title Opinions across various Oklahoma counties for some of the industry’s biggest production companies.


In 2021, Dean transitioned his field of practice to Creditor’s Rights Law in Oklahoma and Texas, attending countless trials and hearings across multiple counties in both states. In 2024, he joined Mountain Peak Law Group and currently serves as the associate attorney for collections efforts in Colorado and Oklahoma.


In his free time, Dean likes watching college and professional sports and enjoys studying history, economics, and financial markets.

ROBERT HILL

Resident Counsel, NV
Robert Hill was born and raised in Roswell, New Mexico. He attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree. While working on his MBA, Robert was accepted to law school in San Diego, California. While in Law School, Robert met his current wife and partner, Shauna Hill.

Upon graduating from Law School, Robert returned to New Mexico where he began his legal career as a prosecutor in Socorro, New Mexico. Socorro is a little town south of Albuquerque. As a prosecutor, Robert handled all types of cases ranging from domestic violence to murder and everything in between. He was lucky enough to have a boss that believed in trial by fire, meaning you get to conduct trials from the beginning. While in Socorro, Robert conducted approximately 20 jury trials, more than 50 bench trials, and numerous hearings. Also, while in Socorro, Robert married Shauna Hill who had joined him from California.

After prosecuting for 2 years, Robert and his wife moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico where he opened his own office handling several types of law. A majority of his practice was focused on criminal defense with different civil matters here and there. After building his practice for a few years, Shauna joined up and they, again, were working together handling everything from criminal defense to family law. They have since relocated the office to Las Vegas, where they both currently practice law.

ERIK STEIN

Operations & Compliance
Erik has an extensive background in business management. Starting his career in retail sales management, he has continued to advance his education and industry experience. His most recent position was working on the internationally renowned Stroke Team at Swedish Medical Center in Denver, CO.
 
Now Erik is managing the operations, compliance and business needs of the Mountain Peak Law Group. Erik earned his Bachelors of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and received his MBA from Regis University.

JAYCEE

Client Services Manager

Jaycee is from Northern California and recently moved to Colorado about a year ago when her husband, Tyler, got stationed here with the Air Force. In her free time, she loves finding new places to explore with her husband and 3 dogs, binge-watching shows, and cooking new and challenging meals. 


Jaycee is currently attending online University to complete her Criminal Justice Degree and wants to one day become a detective. She hopes the Air Force brings her family more places to travel, new foods to try and new people to meet!

Lisa hails from the Sunshine State and is currently attending the University of Central Florida online to complete her bachelor's degree in law.


She enjoys watching movies, reading books, board and card games, and flute and practicing piano. She and her husband are both very active with their church, participating in the vocal and handbell choirs and running the music program for services.
